Bluegrass Little League - Intermediate 50/70 Division Description
THIS LEAGUE IS FOR 11-13 YEAR-OLDS. If you are 11 -12 year-old this registration is in addition to your MAJORS registration. 13 year-olds are the only players who can register solely for this division.
Intermediate Division Description:
Welcome to the Intermediate 50/70 Division of Bluegrass Little League, a dynamic and engaging preparatory experience designed for players aged 11-13. This division serves as a stepping stone toward 60/90 gameplay, allowing young athletes to develop their skills in a competitive yet supportive environment.
Player Eligibility and Selection:
Players who wish to participate must undergo an evaluation process. Selection for this division is based solely on skill, meaning that not every player is guaranteed a spot. Our goal is to create balanced teams that foster growth and camaraderie.
Schedule:
Games and practices are held on Saturdays only, featuring an alternating schedule to keep every week fresh and exciting. The game format follows a sandlot style, with teams being selected anew before each game. This approach promotes teamwork and adaptability, vital traits for young athletes.
Practice Structure:
Our practice sessions are conducted in a clinic-style format, with multiple coaches and clinicians leading skill-building exercises. Participants will tackle a range of challenges designed to improve their overall baseball skills. We encourage all players to actively partake in every activity to maximize their development and enjoyment.
Uniforms and Fees:
Players are requested to wear uniforms from their league team, travel team, or the Rangers organization. This division is offered at a reduced fee to ensure more players can participate in this enriching experience.
Game Regulations:
Umpires will officiate games and follow the guidelines in the Little League rulebook under the Intermediate tab, and in the local Bluegrass Little League Rules, as outlined in the League Operations Handbook on our website and on LittleLeague.com.
